I am an information security professional, with over 10 years experience in consulting, management and security audit. I have been an Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) for 8 years, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) for 3 years.

I am a demonstrated leader in the information security and risk management space. As a PCI Qualified Security Assessor, I assisted some of Canada’s largest Retailers and Service Providers in achieving and monitoring PCI compliance. This in turn exposed me to many complex and varied IT environments. And while I am no longer employed as a PCI QSA or PA QSA, I maintain my PCIP (Payment Card Industry Professional) certification.

In 2003 I earned my B.Ed and became a certified teacher. I have a passion for security awareness and training initiatives as well as experience in pedagogy, and assessing and teaching to individual learning style. I have created online and in-person training materials and worked with integrating course materials and tests in a Learning Management System. Working at Ryerson University, I taught the CISSP certification exam preparation course using my own course material for over 3 years, 12 terms, teaching a total of more than 200 security professionals.
